The Business of the Year is chosen by a private selection committee, with no assistance or influence from the Faribault Chamber staff. Utilizing a variety of metrics, including community contributions, business ethics and values, as well as commitments to The Chamber's Missions.
America’s progress has been driven by entrepreneurs who think big, take risks and work hard. From the storefront shops that anchor downtown to high-tech industries to large scale retail and service businesses – small businesses are the backbone of our economy. In the US, 28 million small businesses create nearly two out of three jobs in our nation’s economy; they provide jobs, spur economic growth and support local communities.
Lighthouse Strategic Solutions is a small but mighty company who supports many other businesses within our community. Seamless, to the point where outsiders don't event know they are consulting, these professionals provide a variety of services to help our other local businesses stay running smoothly and efficiently - something that is very important to our economy. In addition to their day-to-day work with others, they jumped right in, following the loss of our co-worker to help run our Faribault's Future Leadership Program, without hesitation.
